Since they could hold their breath indefinitely the two young lovers would spend hours on the floor of their bay looking for mollusks and other snacks that káchtot might make back at home — just another day off Ozette Bay some miles south of the Salish Sea inlet, which eventually lead to the Puget Sound. Ray and Kala were helping get ready for dinner back at Kala’s house.

In the red light district of Under New York Joanna was hearing another one of the stories from her Wednesday night regular, Marcus, some John who had once engineered a bunch of RoboSpecialists for the New Football league, “A cacophony of screeching brakes, colliding metal and blood thirsty fans,” his high pitched voice sang out clearly retelling a story that had been told many times. 

I was the only one in attendance at the funeral for my dung beetle, Greg. I was saddened, as most are, at the passing of a dear pet. He was, of course, too big to flush in the toilet as if he were some common goldfish. One could not simply squash bugs of these sizes anymore, given the times in which we live, much less just toss them in the trash.
